Special Detour Notice
The stone bridge in Madrid, NY is closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic until further notice. Shuttle buses are being provided by the NYSDOT to transport pedestrians from one side of the bridge to the other via the detour.
The NYS Department of Transportation ordered the closure after structural weakness was detected. There is a detour in place which takes drivers across the Grasse River at Bucks' Bridge. Please follow the signs and proceed carefully. We apologize for any inconvenience and delays this may cause.
