BIDDING FAREWELL
When first I looked into your eyes
It took me by surprise,
And then I realized I love you.
I will see you again,
But still I don’t know when,
Till then I will be dreaming of you.
Bidding farewell to you
Is breaking my heart in two,
Hurting me through and through,
But what else can I do?
I know that you have to go away.
I know I will miss you every day.
Wherever I go, I feel you near,
Almost as though you were standing here.
I love you with all my heart,
I knew it from the start,
And though we have to part tomorrow,
We will fly forevermore
As high as we can soar,
And so I rise above my sorrow.
Bidding farewell to you
Is breaking my heart in two,
Hurting me through and through,
But what else can I do?
I waited a long time for you,
The dream of a lifetime come true.
I love everything that you do.
I wonder if you feel the same way too.
I have never felt this way.
Forever and a day
I will love you more than words can tell.
I commend the Lord each day
For sending you my way.
Until we meet again, my friend, farewell.
