WITNESS TO A CRIME

You have come to the right place. I have been the leading investigator
of the 2004 presidential election in Ohio, which I am quite certain
was stolen. I was a witness in the Moss v. Bush lawsuit which sought
to contest the Ohio election results before the Ohio Supreme Court.
My work was relied upon by John Conyers in challenging the Ohio electors
in Congress, by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. in his article for Rolling Stone
magazine, and by Algenon L. Marbley in issuing his federal court order
protecting the ballots from destruction.

My long-awaited book, “Witness to a Crime: A Citizens' Audit of
an American Election," was published by Canterbury Press on April 12.
The book is 448 pages, with a hard cover and a dust jacket. The book
includes eight color plates, and a CD with 1200 digital images of actual
ballots, poll books, voter signature books, ballot accounting charts,
and other forensic evidence from Ohio.

The book is available online, by credit card, through PayPal. The cost
is $30, plus shipping, at http://www.witnesstoacrime.com/buyitnow.htm
The book is also available via check or money order, in which case the
cost is $30 total, shipping included. Once the book is available
in stores, the price may be somewhat higher. Please make checks payable
to Richard Hayes Phillips. Please mail checks to 4 Fisher Street,
Canton, New York, 13617. Allow 7 to 10 days for delivery.

APPENDIX WIPP: Included on this website is an Appendix devoted to the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP), the world’s first permanent nuclear waste dump. I am an erstwhile geologist, and was one of the leading opponents of the project. Two of my songs relate to WIPP. "Every Land is Beautiful" celebrates the beauty of the landscape that stands to be desecrated. "Face to Face" describes in apocalyptic verse the sight of the first shipment of plutonium rolling down the highway. Posted on this site are photographs of trench exposures from my doctoral dissertation, photographs of the karst nature trail that I blazed near the WIPP site, a newspaper article about it, the last of my scientific papers, written for the Mexican Congress, in both English and Spanish, and proof of falsified evidence as submitted to federal court -- the BOTTOM LINE in the
Table of Contents. For more information go to http://www.cardnm.org/techsecfrm_a.html

WELCOME TO THE LYRIC POETRY WEBSITE

This website has been created by RICHARD HAYES PHILLIPS,
a singer/songwriter, Celtic musician, and lyric poet.
I am a wandering minstrel, a link to a bygone era.
I play acoustic guitar, mandolin, kalimba and harmonica.
I am a seasoned performer, having played in New York,
New England, New Mexico, California, North Carolina,
West Virginia, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ireland, Scotland,
and Canada. I have three books of lyrics which are now
collectors' items, and nine compact discs available
at my concerts and online at http://www.cdbaby.com.
To view the lyrics and poems of RICHARD HAYES PHILLIPS, go to the
Table of Contents and click on the title desired. To see the lists of songs included on each of my nine CDs, go to the Table of Contents and click on the title desired. Each CD playlist is linked to the corresponding home page at CD Baby. To listen to the music on MP3 files, click on the link. Not all of my lyrics are found on my CDs; some are poems without music, some are songs that have never been recorded and released. Not all of the tracks on my CDs are found among the lyrics posted here; some contain lyrics written by other poets, and some are instrumental tracks without vocals. The lyrics to all the traditional ballads I have recorded are posted; all of them are, of course, in the public domain. Copyright © 1986-2006 by Richard Hayes Phillips. All rights reserved. Precious few poets post all of their works on their websites. These poems, although copyrighted, are for all the world to enjoy. I find encouragement in the words of Pete Seeger: "No one was ever diminished by giving something away." In that spirit, my mandolin chord chart is posted as well, revealing many unorthodox ways to chord this beautiful instrument. Also posted are instructions on how to obtain, tune and play the kalimba. I compose music and play my instruments by ear and by feel. I have committed my techniques to paper in hopes of inspiring other musicians to play these instruments and beautify the world. APPENDIX BMI: Included in this website is an Appendix devoted to the tactics of BMI, the multinational publishing empire. I lost a lucrative job as a performing musician when BMI threatened the owners of the restaurant at which I was playing. Seven months later the Copyright Office ruled in my favor. I am not the only one wrongfully persecuted by ASCAP or BMI, and I welcome similar submissions, from other musicians struggling to maintain their independence, for posting on this website. For a satirical view, see "Ballad of the ASCAP Agent."
