Abel Hambleton:  Born c. 1676. [3]  Christened 28 March 1736, First
Congregational Church. [6]  Married 1709 to Deborah [5] (Born 1676, Berwick,
York, Maine [6], Died after 17 Jan 1741). [5]  Had land grants dated 1699,
1703. [5]  Children:

     Benjamin Hambleton:  Born c. 1719, Berwick, York, Maine; Christened
     28 March 1736, First Congregational Church; Married 22 October 1747
     to Experience Walker (Born c. 1725/1726, Berwick, York, Maine; Died
     c. 1780, killed by Indians); [6]  Had part of the homestead in 1741,
     gave bond alone to take good care of “my aged mother,” and another
     with Joseph to take good care of father, and after father’s death
     to pay sister Mary, then unmarried, 20 pounds. [5]  Deeded father’s
     marsh in 1748. [5]  Died: Jun 1795, Lyman, York, Maine.  Buried at
     Hamilton Cemetery, Waterboro, Maine, on Hamilton Road just across
     the Waterboro line in Hollis, beneath an inscribed gravestone, a
     photograph of which is posted online. [7]

     Joseph Hamilton:  Born c. 1721, Berwick, York, Maine. [6]  Had
     part of the homestead in 1737. [5]  Gave bond in 1741 to take good
     care of father, and after father’s death to pay sister Mary, then
     unmarried, 20 pounds. [5]  Deeded father’s marsh in 1748. [5]

     Mary Hambleton:  Born c. 1723, Berwick, York, Maine.  Married
     17 November 1748 to Isaac Brackett, son of Samuel Brackett and
     Sarah Emery (Born 7 October 1722, Berwick, York, Maine, Died
     2 June 1780, York County, Maine). [6] 

Jonas Hambleton:  Born c. 1678. [3]  Sold 20 acres on Newichawannock River,
Township of Dover, 27 March 1703, to Norrolas Waldron. [8]  Bought 30 acres
on Fresh Creek, Township of Dover, 11 April 1705, from Timothy Wentworth and
Sarah Wentworth. [9]  Married 9 September 1708 at New London, Connecticut to
Elizabeth (Eliza) Wickwire, daughter of John Wickwire and Mary Tongue (Born
23 May 1688, New London, Connecticut). [6]  Both were baptized at First Church
of Christ in New London, Connecticut on 25 June 1710.  Jonas joined the church
on 8 October 1738.  In 1748 he was described in a petition to the general court
as a member of the church in parish of New Salem. [10]  Children:

     Jonathan Hambleton:  Born 17 June 1709, New London Township,
     Connecticut. [6]  Married (1): 9 May 1732 to Ann Camp (Born 1711,
     New London, Connecticut) [6], daughter of William Camp (born New
     London, Connecticut) and Elizabeth Smith (daughter of Richard
     Smith and Bathsheba Rogers). [11]  Ann died 9 January 1735. [11]
     Married (2): 26 July 1736 to Elizabeth Strickland, daughter of
     Samuel Strickland and Elizabeth Williams (born 1715, New London,
     Connecticut).  Married (3): 1761 to Phebe (born 27 October 1736,
     New London, Connecticut). [6]

     Elizabeth Hambleton:  Born 25 June 1710, New London Township,
     Connecticut.

     Solomon Hambleton:  Born 10 August 1711, New London Township,
     Connecticut. [6]  Married 19 June 1735 at Norwich, New London,
     Connecticut to Zerviah Wickwire (Born 13 December 1713).  Zerviah
     and Solomon had seven children.  “This is well documented from
     lots of sources and we are sure of its correctness.” [10]
