Deed from James Grant of York County, Maine, Planter, to David Hambleton, dated 7 October 1669, "for Twenty acres of Land be it more or Less Lying & being in ye Townshipp of Dover at a place called Nowitchowannuck ... & is Lying & being betweene a placed called St Albans Pond & Quamphogin Falls bordering on Nowitchuwanuck River ... upon which Lott of Land the said David Hambleton hath now sett up a Dwelling house & in it now dwelleth."
