My love for you is deep.
I find I’m losing sleep,
Longing to be with you one more time.
It may seem premature,
But I am very sure.
I’ve been in love before.
I know the signs.
When first I saw your smiling face I knew
That I should be alone some place with you.
When you reached out for my hand you let it show
That you did not ever want to let it go.
When first we had a chance to hold each other,
I asked if you would be my steady lover.
You said that you were looking for the same.
You said that you were through with playing games.
Now it’s after dark,
And I feel my aching heart
Longing to be with you one more time,
To see your smiling face,
And to feel your sweet embrace.
