TO AN ATHEIST
How can you say there is no God?
Who do you think you are?
Who do you think made the earth,
The sun and moon and stars?
Everything that lives on land,
In the sky or in the sea,
Was made by our creator’s hand,
And not by you and me.
Just because you haven’t seen him
Doesn’t mean he isn’t there.
God is a spirit moving on the water.
God is everywhere.
How can you say there is no God?
What do you believe?
Either you believe in God,
Or else you are deceived.
Do you trust your fortune to the stars,
Black magic, crystal balls,
Psychic hotlines, tarot cards?
Do you have any faith at all?
Just because you haven’t seen him
Doesn’t mean he isn’t there.
God is a spirit moving on the water.
God is everywhere.
How can you say there is no God?
Why do you think we’re here?
Where do you think salvation lies?
Don’t you know the time is near?
Is there no purpose to this life?
Do you think it’s all a game?
What do you think you’ll have to say
When the good Lord calls your name?
