GOD MADE GAYS

God made gays.
We were born this way.
To us it does not feel strange.
God knows why
We love other guys;
It’s nothing that we can change.
We don’t choose
To live as we do
Any more than you choose to be straight.
We love you.
We don’t care what you do,
Or whom you desire for a mate.

Don’t hate us.
Don’t make such a fuss
When we seek the freedom that you know.
You don’t hide
What you feel inside,
If you’re not too shy to let it show.
You hold hands
Anywhere in the land,
And you never have to let go.
You embrace
Any time, any place,
And you can let anyone know.

Don’t demean us
Or build walls between us;
Please understand that you cause it.
We have pride,
And we’re not going to hide,
And we’re not going back in the closet.
Don’t you curse
Us with chapter and verse
That you have selected from the Bible.
Christ did not say
One word about gays,
And hatred in his name is libel.

Preaching love,
He came from above,
Not to condemn, but to forgive.
Why can’t you do
What he wants you to do,
And learn to live and let live?
God made all things
And without God
Nothing was made that was made.
God made gays.
We were born this way.
And we are not afraid.
