Deed from James Hamilton Jr. and his wife Priscilla, to John Marshall, (grandfather of the future Chief Justice), dated 30 June 1741, for the same 100 acres James had inherited from his father. One of the boundary lines was subsequently surveyed (on 22 August 1752) by George Washington as "land betwixt James Hamelton and James Thomas." |
