Annie Hamilton, great-grandmother of Delilah Allred, was the daughter of James Hambleton,
and the granddaughter of David Hambleton, of Westburn, Lanarkshire, Scotland. The family
is well documented in the historical and genealogical registries of Scotland and New England.
