30 August 1876, Coles County, Illinois.  Married (1) Polly Smiley, 18 July 1818,
Greene County, Tennessee; (2) Sarah Dejarnett, 7 May 1845, Coles County, Illinois.

Sarah “Sallie” Phillips. Married George “Anthony” Buley (Bewley), in Loudoun County, Virginia (ref. Bewley family records) after 1777 (ref. Affidavit of Robert Phillips, 28 January 1850). Anthony Buley appears on the List of Tithables for Loudoun County, Virginia in 1772, 1773, 1774 and 1777. Anthony Bewley was living in Greene County, Tennessee, c. 1833 (ref. Affidavit of Jacob M. Bewley, 31 August 1853). Daughter: Livy Ann Bewley (born c. 1778), married William Keele (born c. 1870), full brother of Miliah (Milly) Keele, July 1793, in Washington County, Tenn. Sons: Anthony Bewley Jr., and Jacob M. Bewley, State Senator, Jefferson County, Tennessee, born c. 1798. Both appear in 1830 census for Greene County, Tennessee.
